The 2024 PFFood Fair was even bigger and more meaningful in 2024! Thanks to the support of our participants, volunteers, and partners, we were able to collect a record amount of food that helped thousands of Philadelphians.
Overall numbers and accomplishments
More than 20,000 pounds of fresh, quality food – vegetables, fruits, baked goods and other items – were collected in 2024. That’s a 33% increase from 2023! This growth was possible thanks to the expansion of the farmer-supplier network and the active work of volunteers.
Who the fair helped
The food collected was donated to more than 25 charitable organizations and food banks in Philadelphia. More than 3,000 families, including seniors, large and low-income families, and the homeless, received assistance.
Volunteer and vendor contributions
The 2024 Fair brought together more than 400 volunteers and more than 150 vendors. Their energy and dedication were key to making the event a success and ensuring its high level of excellence.
Important initiatives and events
- Organized a charity food auction for the first time, which helped raise additional funds to support food programs.
- Launched new healthy eating workshops that were attended by more than 500 people.
- Strengthened collaboration with local schools – students actively participated in volunteer and educational programs.
